Abreu explores narrations that lie between the genre of dark humour and allegory in his art. Through a personal tryst, he produces images with somber and grotesque characteristics, in order to script a visual language that lead to revelations. Social afflictions are visually encoded with symbolised meanings rather than its literal ones, in the process taxing the viewer. The fragile events from yesteryears and the future predictions of change in dynamics within the personal realm and that of society stand parallel.

Abreu lives and works in Tiswadi, Goa.
