Promod Gaikwad
Promod Gaikwad completed his education in 1997- B.F.A. (Painting) from Govt. College of Art Aurangabad, India.
Promod Gaikwad paintings are inspired by nature. His representation of elements in nature is not a mere repetition, but is an attempt to capture their essence and soul through a delicate balance of colors, textures and play of light. According to Promod, “After completing my B.F.A. in painting in the year 1997, I wandered around to many cities like Ahmedabad, Mumbai and New Delhi in search of a future, and at last I arrived at Bharat Bhawan in Bhopal. Here (Art Scene India) I joined the Graphic workshop and worked in all mediums of printmaking. I was privileged to have a dialogue with painters, musicians, theater artists, writers and others. This gave me a golden chance to know the Indian and Western art world more closely and with a different viewpoint.”
