Jayati Bose

(b. 1980)

Jayati Bose is a self-taught artist and sculptor whose work explores femininity, nostalgia, and Bengali culture. Known for her mastery in watercolors and terracotta sculptures, Bose’s art reflects intimate moments of feminine repose, divine femininity, and nature’s fleeting beauty. She lives and works in Mumbai, where her home studio serves as a sanctuary for her creative process. Her Women at Leisure and Goddess Series have been widely celebrated, alongside her evocative Mrinmoyee terracotta sculptures. Bose’s approach blends introspection with materiality, creating a dialogue between the personal and the universal.

She completed two master’s degrees—one in English Literature and Language and the other in Journalism and Communication.

Her recent solo exhibitions include ‘Women at Leisure’ curated by Kunal Shah at Bougainvillea Gallery (2024), ‘Paro’ at Good Earth, New Delhi (2025), ‘Bageecha Series’ at IF.BE, Architecture, Design, The Arts, New Delhi (2024), and a group show ‘Contours of Contemporary’ at Quorum in Gurgaon (2025) and Cultivate Art (2024).
